Cybersmart week 8

During our Cybersmart lesson this week we learnt about altering photos. Our students understood that altering photos is not always a good thing, especially if you do not have consent to do so. However, we also learnt that altering photos can be okay and something fun to do. We using a website called pixlr.com to alter photos. We were also challenged to create a book cover with this website.

Term 2, week 7

Kahikatea Hub decided to celebrate Kiribati language week early as it falls within the school holidays. We made a dish from Kiribati called Pumpkin and coconut soup. Our students also made food reviews about the soup, as well as brochures or TV ads to encourage tourists to visit Kiribati.

Term 2, week 7: Showcase poster winner

Our school was running a poster competition for our upcoming showcase. Many students entered and made some amazing posters! One of our students in Kahikatea Hub was lucky enough to be one of the winners.

Term 2, week 6

During week 6 our students worked hard to complete all given tasks due to it being a short week.

We have been practicing our dances everyday and showing a lot improvement. Enjoy having a look through some of the photos that were taken of Kahikatea Hub and other senior students this week.

Half way through term 2

 Week 5 was full of exciting experiences for Kahikatea Hub. We all had so much fun and wanted to show everyone all the cool things we did.
