Poetry clinic

Today whaea Tamzin took a writing clinic which was focussed on introducing poetry. We learned that there are over 50 different types of poetry and took a closer look at four different kinds (Haiku, Calligram, Limerick and Acrostic).

We started off the clinic by writing down all the things we already new about poetry, take a look at them!

We then took a closer look at different features of poetry, in particular rhymes, similes and metaphors. On the next page of the Jamboard we wrote down all the different similes we could think of!

Week 6 STEAM challenge

This week for the learn, create, share STEAM task, students need to either redesign a type of transport that already exists or create a completely new form of transport.
Take a look at the ideas ako whānau whaea Tamzin came up with.
